GISintersect.com was established in 2009 to provide the community with news on geographic information systems. We aim to provide the community with basic news and data updates, in addition to articles on scientific GIS use, focusing on political geography.

GISintersect.com is maintained by Andreas Forø Tollefsen, PhD student at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo and Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Oslo. He holds an MA in Geography from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
